Fernando punched the man he was holding in the gut as he struggled, trying to get away.

'One more chance or you're ear lobe's gone.' he warned, pressing the blade in to the tender flesh, just penetrating the skin.

The elf watched from his position as the stranger he had met earlier gave the fair haired man a blow to the neck.

'Thanks, didn't notice the dagger there.' he mumbled eyes searching his captive.

Fernando looked sharply up at the man.

'Did you? I didn't hear...'

The storm outside finally broke and dense balls of hail began falling on the roof of the bar.

'Shall we take these two in to a room for interrogation?' he asked casually, calling out to the same waitress he had earlier and exchanging a few silver coins for a key.

'Search him first.' he said, patting down his own man and pulling out a shot gun and two daggers.

"Now do you see where we stand?", Wellby inquired. He actually did not stand anywhere, did not care about any of these men, but he liked to be involved.

"I did, but you were too busy leaving to 'meet' here. I warned them before I left, said I'd kill them." Wellby eyed the small man. "I might have to live up to that promise." He raised an eyebrow menacingly.

Wellby heard the hail. He grinned really wide; he loved storms. Then he noticed his hood had fallen in the jump, but he left it there and shook his long hair a bit.

"If you want, if it'll do any good." he replied.

Wellby searched through the pockets of his man. He found nothing in the way of weapons, but he did find a letter stuffed in his back pocket.

He thrust it at the elf. "I think you can have this, it probably has nothing to do with me."

Fernando looked up at the stranger.

'My name, is Fernando.' he said smiling, this man was good so he at least deserved to know what to call him.

He stared oddly at the taller man, why didn't he have any weapons? Where did that leave him? He gladly took the letter from the stranger.

'Thanks.'

The elf threw the dark man to the floor and grabbed his foot.

'Let's take you for a joy ride...' he hissed darkly. Fernando found that the best way to get words out of a reluctant man was pain, expecially when it was an agent.

He felt eyes burning into the back of his head and turned sharply.

'What are you looking at!?' he growled, 'You want somma this as well do you?' he warned and the people turned back to their tables, huddling aound their ale.

'Idiots, don't know business when it knocking at their door.' he mumbled, and began dragging the man up the stairs, smiling as his head thumped on every level. A little brain damage will get the job done faster.

Wellby thought he should give a name to be called in reply. Previously, he had been going under the false name Minon, but he decided to put a little confusion in the mix.

"I'm Wellby."

Wellby shook his head when he saw the people staring. There was always someone watching, no privacy at all. 'Guess they don't know what keeping to themselves is...likely they have boring lives to jump at a punch or two.' He thought.

He followed the elf up the stairs, kicking the man's head once in a while for fun.
When they approached the top of the stairs, Wellby gave one last hard kick, then grabbed the man's head for easier movement, so he could bash the head against the walls quicker instead of pushing it with his foot. It was harsh treatment, but it felt good.

Fenando nodded his thanks, it was easier to have a name to call him as opposed to just referring to him as 'man' or 'stranger'.

'No,' he agreed, 'such petty creatures they are, probably can't even spell their own name.' he muttered critically.

The elf continued to walk up the stairs, yanking the man just before each level to ensure he got a good, genuine thump.

'500 brain cells, 1000 brain cells, 1500 brain cells, 2000 brain cells...' he mumbled as he walked up each step.

He laughed sadistically as Wellby began tormenting the man even more.

'Hey, you're not so bad!' he laughed as he hauled their captive over the last step, wincing as he heard the distinct crunch of ribs.

Fernando persisted to drag the man over the rough floor until they reached their given room where he pulled out the key and unlocked it, kicking the door open.

He totally dismissed the idea of being humane, and instead tied the man's feet to his hands behind his back with the rope he'd threatened them with earlier.

Despite Wellby's size he looked fairly strong, so he decided to get his help.

'Hey, can you hold the man up while I attach him to the broken fan on the roof?' he asked, smiling with a glint in his eye.

Wellby's eyes widened. "Did I say that out loud?" he asked.

He laughed at the comment. "Do you mean bad, or good?" he asked. "Because I don't think this is very nice!"

It was after they had gotten in the room when he heard footsteps trying to mask their own sound.

Of course Wellby was expecting it.

"Yeah, but let's ambush this other guy first." he replied, "I figured instead of carrying him up, we'll just have him come up to us. Get to the side of the door, when he walks in, we jump, sound good?"

Wellby walked to one side of the door. 'Thank goodness this door opens outward, or I'd be in trouble.' he thought.

He began going over a nice spell in his head.

'M-hmm...' he squeezed out, eyes looking sceptically at Wellby. Didn't he know when he talked!?

'Bad good, good bad. What's the difference? Everyone has a streak of each - they just decide which one they want to show more.' he commented thoughtfully, wondering if what he just said made any sense at all.

'I can't talk philosophy when I'm about to torture a person!' he laughed, 'But I'm glad you can!'

The elf heard the footfalls almost instantly and tensed. He dropped his captive to the floor and grimaced.

'Sorry, mate. I won't be too long, you'll get your share of attention soon. I'm sure you'll understand.' he said in a mock friendly manner.

'I'm not your friend you B*****d!' he spat back, his face bright red with white flecks of spittle on his cheeks.

'Oh, I'm sure you will be after this! I admire you, you know. For someone who's about to tortured to the point of non'recognition... you have a lot of courage!' he laughed, 'Although, I must say you're a damn bloody fool!'

Fernando walked gingerly of to Wellby and stood next to him, waiting in suspense.

Wellby's spell unleashed. All of the darkness and shadows in the room swirled arounds before covering Wellby and Fernando and the man.

Two seconds later, the door busted open and a man rushed through with a dagger heading straight for the captive.

Wellby clenched his fist and the assailant fell to the ground.

Fernando shuddered convulsively; the power of the spell had struck him unawares.

'Woah...' he exclaimed, forgetting his demeanor for a moment, 'That was wicked.'

The elf leered over the blonde man curiously. Was he alive?

'Hey... Wellby. Is he dead?' he queried, prodding the body with his booted foot.

The dark man stared malignantly at Fernando.

'What?!' he exclaimed, exasperated.

Fernando crossed his arms and leaned back on his heels, musing thoughtfully for a moment. He used dark magic more often than he cared to remember... but he hadn't ever manipulated the shadows like that before... he wondered how this man did it.

'How'd you do that Wellby? I've never seen anything like it before.'

When Wellby heard the word wicked he smiled descriptively. That was such a beautiful complement to him.

He walked over to the body. "Actually," Wellby said, "I just tripped him. Looks like he hit his head on the ground." Even after he said this a bruise was starting to form on the man's temple.

Wellby thought for a second. How did he manipulate shadows like that? He had forgotten how he learned in the first place.

"I call to it, and it comes." he replied. "Anyhow, I'll lift the man for you." He walked straight over and with a heave and a grunt, lifted the dark man onto his shoulder."
