Fwrthyrn sat on the edge of the cliff, surveying the surrounding below him. A light breeze played with his hood, which always covered his face. His black cloak was once again wrapping him from prying eyes.

Sighing, he remembered his journeys. The fight was the worst memory. Fwrthyrn scorched to the bone, unconscious, entering hell and then being released back into Earth, one half of his face not healed. Then finding a person to make his mask.

Wandering the place where he knew no hunger, he was beginning to lose faith in everything...

Lily walked slowly, ascending the side of the mountain all the while looking at the scenery around her. She ran her fingers along the cliff-side, manipulating her shadow so that it flew high above her. She enjoyed playing with the shadows. They didn't judge her like others did.
She sighed. The world was a strange place.
Out of nowhere, she got the feeling that she wasn't alone.

Fwrthyrn stood up, feeling there was someone here. He looked around, narrowing his eye, his hood still covering his appearance.

"Who's there?" he asked darkly, not doing anything yet. Fwrthyrn always waited for someone to make the first move before he reacted. It was the way to go to survive in this godforsaken place.

Given any options, he still remembered all too clearly about the angels, and he didn't want a repeat.

Lily stopped. She heard the voice. It didn't sound very friendly. She looked around.

"I am here." she replied softly, knowing full well the mountains wuold carry her voice. She started moving slowly forward.

"And who wants to know?" she asked back.

Fwrthyrn narrowed his eye as a female entered his vision. He considered the question, "I do not tell anyone my name. It is of no importance," he replied darkly.

Looking around, he decided to stop thinking about the other matters and focus on this one. Thinking of all the possibilities that could end negative he asked, "Why are you here?"

Sighing, he closed his eye momentarily before releasing the pressure and looking at the female, waiting for an answer.

Lily still couldn't see who shewas talking to. And she was starting to feel uneasy.
"Fine, have it your way." she muttered.

She kicked a pebble at her feet.
"I come up here a lot. It is the only place where people do not hate me for who I am." she replied. She didn't care whether whoever it was understood her or not. It was the truth.
She sat down, leaning against the cool rockface.

Fwrthyrn raised an eyebrow at what the female said, "What are you then?" he asked curiously. He couldn’t pin-point it but could feel a faint quality inside her that appeared inside him.

He sat down next to her, not revealing his hood yet. Staring ahead at the vast expanse he thought of her words, "Will you tell me your name even if I haven’t told mine?" he asked quietly.

Lily jumped when the voice's owner sat down next to her. Although, she could not see his face.

"What am I?" she asked. She sighed, "Sometimes even I don't know the answer to that." she replied.
She looked at the shadows surrounding them. She looked sidewards and shrugged.

"Why not? I've done it before." she said, "I'm Lily Grayson. Although Lily isn't my real name. It's Lilith, but I hate that name."

She looked at the figure again.
"You are very mysterious, you know that?"

Fwrthyrn acknowledged his head at Lily, "Lilith's a wonderful name. Better than... Lily," he replied, hinting the name with disgust, "Lily's too much of a petty name. Strong names are always good. Why do you hate it?"

"I am?" he said with slight surprise. He regained his composure, "Never realised. I just keep some details hidden from the public's view."

He entered into a brooding state, "You don't know when that'll come and take a bite out of you," he muttered darkly, his eyebrow creased in anger.

Lily sighed again.
"You really think so?" she said. She shrugged.
"I don't absolutely loathe it. It's a good name and all...but people say that it's an evil name. That is why I change it."

She outstretched a hand and played with the shadows.
"But then again, people avoid me anyway. They think I'm evil just because I like the darkness." she said, nodding towards the shadows.

She looked at the figure.
"Sounds like something really bad happened to you."
