When Lex finally caught up he stared, awestruck, at the scenario before him.
'Woah...' he muttered, then shook his head to clear his mind.
After making a decision, he jogged over to Jacquey and gently took the branch out of her delicate hands.
'There's a better way, Jacq,' he said solemnly into her ear, 'instead of killing the beast on your own, why not bring Loyal back and we can fight it off together?' he ran his fingers through her hair once then turned to the bloodied beast before him, swinging a punch at it's stomach just to warn it.
The elf looked sorrowfully into the sorcerer's deluded eyes.
'Hang on Loyal...' he whispered to himself.
Butterflies were the one thing that reached down into the man's maimed soul. They seemed to have complete control over him, their beauty sending him into an unknown void that even Lex could not explain.
An immense light grew around the elf as he summoned the will of nature to join forces with his power. A light hum started up and grew stronger as the air itself began to shake. It grew to a deafening pitch and a starnge scent filled the air. From all the surrounding trees standing tall in the area millions of small different coloured butterflies burst out, dancing around each other before swirling around Loyal, trying to tease and tempt him with their beauty.
Lex dropped to his knees, panting. The Lamia screeched and lashed out at the elf, ctching him unawares as he toppled over in the snow, vision slightly blurred.
((Hey Wrath, if you have any problems with what I said about Loyal, let me know and I will edit the post!
