Cressida turned and headed down an alleyway. Just by a means of a shortcut. Her thoughts kept coming to attack her and it was getting on her nerves.

Fingering her belt, she calmed herself down. She always had to result to this, it was pathetic.

Cressida sighed as she continued to walk. Suddenly hearing a noise, she stopped and narrowed her eyes. Turning around slowly, she yelled, "Who's there?"

Being stealthy wasn't exactly the best thing she could do, unless it came to sneaking up on some unsuspecting person who just happened to be perfect flirt material. But that was beside the point. In hopes to find her way out of the maze, she had ended up spying someone...and decided to follow them. But then that would be like stalking, so she made sure to keep as quiet as possible.

Which wasn't very quiet at all, consider the music on her mp3 player was blasting in her ears. Only because she hated silence that wasn't needed...or just silence in general.

But the minute the other turned around swiftly, she instantly held her hands up. Defensive position, naturally. "Me." she answered, the ever apparent grin on her face.

Cressida was about to draw her blade out of the sheath but stopped. A girl around her age appeared, although quite tall. She relaxed slowly, although still looking at the girl wearily.

Walking forwards she asked, "Do you go to the College? I feel like I've seen you before..." her memories flicking in and out of each other as she sought the one she wanted.

Cressida still edgy looked behind and in front of her making sure no one else was there.

"Well, I'd be a little amused if you had; seeing as I just arrived." she gave a small chuckle, her hands lowered a little, but not quite. She was still somewhat apprehensive about the blade at the girl's side. Sure, she should have known that weapons would be carried around here, but what had possessed -her- to decide not to herself? It was...foolish, in fact, after near accidents. Rui had resolved to bring one next time. A kitchen knife perhaps? Before wondering to herself if this may become some sort of mafia cult.

"No-one's behind you." she said, knowing that for a fact seeing as she could see easily behind the other. "Don't worry." even if she knew that the girl may not trust her so easily with a few simple words.

Cressida raised an eyebrow, slightly annoyed but impressed at how imposing the girl was. She fully sheathed her knives, and studied the girl. "Who are you?" she asked curiously.

Looking wearily at the girl, she still didn't trust her fully. Years had taught her that much and she wasn't going to let her guard down any time soon.

As she waited for the girl's answer, she sighed and continued to look around the alley.

"You go to the College right? How did you get there?"

"I am me." she replied honestly, even if her intention wasn't to annoy the other, she supposed she couldn't help it if her answers were blunt. It just proved that to get the desired response, one had to ask a question that narrowed the answers she would give, down a little. Otherwise, the answering range was a little too wide.

She lowered her hands down to her sides, adjusting the volume control on her music player as she did so, "Yes, I go to the college." even if that comment was rhetorical, she still wanted to answer it anyway. As for the last one...Ruiko tapped a finger on the side of her own head, "I got there by train." she chuckled mildly.

"Right..." Cressida answered, looking at the girl strangely but said nothing else about it. She respected the girl and understood what she was trying to say... in a way.

"By train... and you've just got here?" she raised an eyebrow.

This girl was tough but Cressida shrugged - everyone was individual. "What are you doing here anyway?"

"Hm..." she tapped her head once more before lowering down to place her finger on her chin in a thinking gesture, "...I think I mistook this place for a labyrinth of some sort, and ended up loosing my bearings," she glanced up briefly, "Seeing as following the stars wouldn't be of any help..." only because she didn't know how to follow the constellations anyway.

Facing the girl once more (who went nameless at the moment, according to her), she flashed a grin in her direction. Not because she was being flirty, not at all (?) but because she was, as she had stated before, being her. Simple as that.

"So, I decided to follow you when you suddenly turned and thought I was a potential threat." she stopped a fit of giggles from capturing her attention. In a way, she was a menace to society, but not in the way everyone would think. Not normal, in any case.

Then again, when was anything that concerned Rui 'normal'?

Cressida narrowed her eyes. She disliked following of any sort. "Anything is a threat if you're not careful," she muttered fiercely.

Turning away, Cressida didn't know what to make of the girl. Was she making fun of her? Then again, how she so casually said the following bit as if she did it every day worried her.

Frowning, she wondered if she should go into defensive mode. But Cressida normally kept an open-mind and it wasn't about to stop now.

Sighing, she shrugged, "So where are you heading to?" Cressida asked.
