Strengths: Often underestimated, he is very powerful in magic. He can win most drinking contests. Wellby knows no fear.

Weaknesses: His size, and very prone to illness.

Appearance: Dark, long, red hair, bright green eyes. He is 4’ 2’’ (due to birth defect), and strong for that size. Wellby usually wears black robes, he is rumored to have a bow stowed somewhere around himself.

Personality: Though his mind is evil, his heart is good, so he is often found helping the good side with his dark magic (the area he is studying). However, he has a powerful lust for battle. He can also stomach anything. Wellby rarely talks, and when he does, his voice sends chills to the bones, anyone’s bones.

Relatives: One mother (Siniesha Brownbottle).

Profession: He is a mercenary, hired often by pirates.

How you got to be a Mage: Self declaration.

Background/History:

His best friend (an old seer) was murdered, causing him to leave his mother. Her family was killed soon afterwards, but his mom escaped and has never been heard of. Wellby has never known his dad. His entire childhood was spent on his grandpa’s farm, where he was teased frequently because of his size, and because he was feared. At twelve he overheard his mother talking to the seer, where he heard some of his fortune. It told he would be good and evil at the same time, either tearing himself apart, or making him stronger. It was told that even though he was evil himself, he would destroy a rising evil. Later, when he was fourteen he discovered some magical powers, and practiced them. He learned quickly, very quickly, and declared himself a mage. After discovering his powers, he secretly swore an oath to find and destroy whoever killed his friend, who he is searching for today.

Special Talents: He is an excellent belcher. He naturally can wield a rapier (small, slender sword). He has been taught how to skillfully shoot a bow.
