Ok, I thought this would be an interesting topic as we were edging towards it in another thread.

I've grown out of it, and it's not really an injury... but I had monthly nose bleeds with no idea what the trigger was.

I remember a day where my nose bled for 3 days without stopping and very heavily at that... I felt it going down my throat as well and it wasn't a nice feeling...


So worst ever injury in your life and other experiences to keep this thread going

The worst injury in my life was when I had a pair of tiny sharp scissors. I was trying to untwist a small nail in an electrical toy to get the battery out and change it. I was holding it in my left hand, the scissors in my right.
So my right hand which was holding the scissors slipped and all the force that I put behind the scissors plunged into my thumb- which was holding the electrical toy.
I’d stabbed myself and the scissors were wide apart so two holes started gushing with blood. I didn’t go to hospital because I never told my mum but luckily for me there wasn’t an infection.
It wasn’t very nice and I still have the scars, though whenever someone asks me about it I just say for a laugh that I’ve been bitten by a snake.

I went to tie my shoe up, and the shoes were stacked under the radiators. So I banged my head on the point of it, and it basically cut a hole in my head.

It bled a lot but I never really felt the pain... I tried seeing in it and it was a bit... disgusting...

But it's healed now, so no biggy

Well I have loads of bruises... but I've never broken anything so that was probably the worst because you see even more horrible ones on the T.V

When I was rushing upstairs to put some stuff away (in bare feet and all), I caught my little toenail on the corner of a wall, which had very sharp wood skirting on it. It hurt like mad, I tell you! When I first looked at my new injury, it only looked like it was bleeding. But I looked again and I was like, "Uh oh!" because it had also happened to split my toenail straight through the middle.
I had to leave it for a few days to ease the pain and then pick the split nail off. XP It was yucky. AND I had to wait a few weeks for it to regrow.
Eugh, it was not pleasant.

Wait, I think I overreacted on the graphic side of it. I was being cautious...

YUK! I know someone who had something similar but with their fingernail.
It kind of rotted and went black, then it fell off.... I think we're verging on he disgusting insidents more that the worst.....
Why were you being cautious? Even though I have to admit it isn't quite as graphic as the ones I've heard about.... but can't remember!

Well, I'm kind of not very social, so I add warnings in case I disgust people I don't even really know cause otherwise I just await comments about why I didn't warn them etc...

Ok... Good reason! I'm not really that social and my sister stutters every time(sometimes) when she speaks to strangers. I try not to disgust people but if I don't think it's very disgusting then I'd just post it and deal with the people saying why I didn't warn them

My dad was involved in a motorcycle accident and he had to have a rod in his arm and about 200 stitches everywhere I think. That would be his worst injury. Anyone know anyone else who's had a particularly bad injury?
